  • Vineflow may also offer non-digital services such as private tastings or booking-based events.
  • Vineflow is independent and is not an official WSET course provider or certification body.
  • Accounts are personal. Sharing access, copying content, or reselling materials is not allowed.
  • Mandatory consumer rights, including rights that apply in the EU, UK, Switzerland, US, or your country of residence, are not limited by these Terms.

1. Provider and Scope

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Vineflow, including our website, learning platform, digital content, study tools, paid course access, and any related services that link to these Terms.

The Service is provided by Vineflow GmbH, Bälliz 46, 3600 Thun, Switzerland, UID CHE-372.317.584 ("Vineflow", "we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account, purchasing access, or using Vineflow, you agree to these Terms. If you use Vineflow on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.

Additional product-specific terms may apply where they are clearly shown on a product page, checkout page, order confirmation, or separate written agreement. If product-specific terms conflict with these Terms, the product-specific terms apply only to that product and only to the extent of the conflict, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

2. Definitions

In these Terms:

  • "User" means any person or organisation using Vineflow.
  • "Consumer" means a User who uses Vineflow for personal, non-commercial purposes and qualifies as a consumer under applicable law.
  • "Service" means the Vineflow website, platform, learning tools, and related digital services.
  • "Vineflow Content" means all text, questions, explanations, flashcards, tasting exercises, design, images, software, structure, and other material provided by Vineflow or its licensors.
  • "Digital Product" means paid or free access to digital learning content or digital functionality supplied through Vineflow.
  • "In-Person Offering" means any non-digital service offered by Vineflow, such as a private tasting, guided tasting, event, booking, or similar offline experience.

3. Eligibility

Vineflow is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your place of residence if that age is higher, to create an account or purchase access.

Vineflow is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts. If we learn that an account has been created by a child where parental consent or other legal requirements would be necessary, we may suspend or delete the account.

4. What Vineflow Provides

Vineflow is a self-paced wine learning platform. It provides structured digital educational content and study tools, including flashcards, multiple-choice questions, open-response practice, tasting exercises, progress tracking, and related learning features.

Course access is sold separately for D1 Wine Production, D2 Wine Business, D4 Sparkling Wines and D5 Fortified Wines. Buying one module does not include the others. D3 Wines of the World is still in preparation and is not included in these purchases. Tasting practice is included in D4 and D5, not D1 or D2. Each course page lists the study tools included in that module. We may also grant promotional, complimentary, trial, reviewer, or other zero-price licences where we choose to do so. Unless we expressly agree otherwise, each licence is for one individual user only, including where access is paid for by a business, school, employer, or other organisation.

Vineflow is designed to support independent study and exam preparation. It does not provide official certification, accredited training, admission to an examination, professional qualification, or a guarantee of exam success.

Vineflow may also offer In-Person Offerings in Switzerland or elsewhere. In-Person Offerings are not digital course access and may depend on availability, location, dates, group size, age restrictions, alcohol laws, dietary or accessibility needs, and separate booking terms shown before confirmation.

5. WSET and Third-Party References

Vineflow may refer to WSET levels, modules, terminology, or examination-style learning needs to help users understand the educational context of the materials. Vineflow is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by WSET or any other examination provider unless expressly stated.

All third-party names, marks, and references remain the property of their respective owners. You should use Vineflow alongside the official materials and instructions provided by your course provider or examination body.

6. Accounts and Security

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that takes place through your account. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.

You must not:

  • share your login credentials or paid access with another person;
  • sell, rent, lend, transfer, or sublicense your account;
  • use another person's account without permission;
  • attempt to bypass access controls, payment systems, or technical protection measures;
  • use Vineflow in a way that interferes with the security or operation of the Service.

Please contact us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

7. Purchases, Prices, Taxes, and Payments

Paid access, prices, currencies, access periods, and included features are shown on the relevant product page, checkout page, or order confirmation. If there is a conflict between a product page and a checkout confirmation, the checkout confirmation governs the purchase.

Course prices are shown in British pounds sterling (GBP). The available plans are a one-time payment for 12 months of access, without automatic renewal, or a monthly subscription that renews until cancelled. Prices vary by module. The selected course, price and billing frequency are shown before payment. To cancel a monthly subscription, email vineflow25@gmail.com before the next renewal, using your account email address. Access continues until the end of the paid period.

Payments are processed through Stripe. Vineflow does not store full payment card details. Receipts or invoices may be generated automatically by Stripe or through Vineflow GmbH's Stripe account. Stripe may process billing details, payment method information, fraud-prevention signals, receipts, refunds, chargebacks, and related transaction data under its own terms and privacy notices. The checkout page, receipt, invoice, and payment confirmation show the payment provider and merchant/payment details that apply to a specific purchase.

Your payment may be subject to taxes, currency conversion, card issuer fees, or local charges depending on your location and payment method.

For In-Person Offerings, the booking page, quote, confirmation, invoice, or written agreement may set additional terms, including date, location, included wines or materials, group size, payment deadline, deposit, cancellation window, rescheduling options, no-show consequences, and any age or alcohol-related requirements.

Unless clearly described as a recurring subscription at checkout, paid Vineflow course access is sold for a fixed access period and does not automatically renew.

If you believe a payment is incorrect, duplicated, unauthorised, or missing the expected access, please contact us promptly so we can investigate. Payment disputes and chargebacks are handled as described in our Refund Policy.

8. Access Period and Availability of Purchased Content

When you purchase a Digital Product, access is granted for the period shown on the product page, checkout page, or order confirmation. Access starts once payment has been successfully completed and the product has been assigned to your account.

Unless a product page, checkout page, subscription plan, promotion, or written agreement clearly says otherwise, one-time access to D1, D2, D4 or D5 is valid for 12 months. Subscription access continues while the subscription remains active and paid, subject to the terms shown at checkout. Vineflow may also grant promotional, trial, reviewer, complimentary, or zero-price access on separate terms, including shorter or longer access periods.

We may update, improve, reorganise, or replace learning content and features during an access period. We aim to preserve the educational value of purchased content, but we do not promise that every individual card, question, image, layout, or feature will remain unchanged.

In-Person Offerings are delivered at the agreed time and place, rather than through a digital access period. If we need to change or cancel an In-Person Offering, we will handle the situation fairly and in accordance with the booking terms and applicable consumer law.

9. Digital Content, Withdrawal, and Refunds

Vineflow provides digital content and digital services. Because access is usually delivered immediately after purchase, refund and withdrawal rules depend on your location, consumer status, the product purchased, and the consent choices made at checkout.

For In-Person Offerings, refund, cancellation, transfer, and rescheduling rules may differ from digital access and should be checked on the relevant booking page, quote, confirmation, or written agreement.

Any statutory withdrawal or cancellation rights that apply in your country remain available. Creating an account, paying, or starting to use a course does not by itself waive those rights. Vineflow does not currently collect a separate waiver of withdrawal rights at checkout.

Our refund approach is customer-friendly. If you are unhappy with a purchase, contact us within 7 days and we will review the situation fairly, including cases where access has already started. This voluntary policy is additional to your statutory rights; the 7-day window does not shorten a statutory deadline. We may decline a voluntary refund for clear account sharing, copying, fraud, or other misuse, but this does not remove any statutory remedy. If a Digital Product purchase is fully refunded, access to that Digital Product ends when the refund is approved or processed, unless mandatory law requires a different result. Full details are available in our Refund Policy.

10. Acceptable Use

You may use Vineflow only for lawful, personal study or authorised internal educational purposes.

You must not:

  • copy, scrape, download in bulk, reproduce, publish, or redistribute Vineflow Content;
  • use Vineflow Content to create competing products, courses, databases, training sets, or services;
  • sell, resell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit any part of Vineflow without written permission;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where the law allows it;
  • upload malicious code or interfere with the Service, hosting, authentication, or payment systems;
  • use automated systems to access, test, extract, or overload the Service without written permission;
  • misrepresent your identity, impersonate another person, or use Vineflow for unlawful purposes.

Where reasonably necessary to protect Vineflow, other users, third parties, or the integrity of the Service, we may investigate suspected misuse, preserve relevant records, restrict access, remove submitted content, and report unlawful conduct to competent authorities.

11. Intellectual Property and Licence

Vineflow Content is owned by Vineflow or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trade mark, database, design, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

During your valid access period, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use Vineflow Content solely through the Service for your own study.

This licence does not allow you to copy, publish, adapt, translate, sell, share, train models on, or create derivative works from Vineflow Content, except to the extent expressly allowed by law or by written permission from Vineflow.

If Vineflow expressly allows a specific file, worksheet, export, or other item to be downloaded or copied, you may use that item only for your own personal, non-commercial study and must keep any copyright, attribution, or source notices intact. Any mandatory statutory exceptions to copyright remain unaffected.

12. Your Learning Data and Submitted Content

Vineflow may allow you to submit answers, tasting notes, study progress, ratings, comments, or other learning data. You remain responsible for anything you submit through your account.

You grant Vineflow the rights needed to store, process, display, analyse, and use that information to operate the Service, provide feedback, save progress, improve learning features, maintain security, and support your account.

You must not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, abusive, misleading, or harmful. We may remove or restrict submitted content where reasonably necessary to protect Vineflow, other users, or the Service.

13. Privacy

Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Payments are handled by third-party payment providers such as Stripe, and authentication and storage may be handled through service providers such as Firebase.

14. Third-Party Services and External Resources

Vineflow may contain links to external websites, third-party resources, payment providers, hosting services, authentication providers, or tools that are not controlled by Vineflow. We are not responsible for the content, availability, security, or terms of third-party services.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies from those providers.

15. Service Availability, Maintenance, and Updates

We aim to provide a reliable and useful learning platform, but we do not guarantee that Vineflow will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. The Service may be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, technical failures, security issues, third-party outages, or events outside our reasonable control.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service where reasonably necessary. If a material change significantly affects paid access during an active access period, we will handle the situation in a fair way and in accordance with applicable consumer law.

The Service may also be unavailable because of events outside our reasonable control, including internet or hosting failures, infrastructure outages, power failures, labour disputes, security incidents, natural events, war, public health measures, regulatory action, or other force majeure events.

If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will take reasonable steps to inform affected users, respect mandatory consumer rights, and, where practical, allow users to retrieve personal data or account information that they are entitled to receive.

16. No Warranty of Results

Vineflow is an educational study tool. We make reasonable efforts to keep the content accurate, structured, and helpful, but wine education and examination requirements can change, and learning outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.

We do not guarantee that you will pass an exam, obtain a qualification, achieve a particular score, or meet the requirements of any third-party education provider.

17. Legal Guarantees and Disclaimers

If you are a Consumer, you may have mandatory legal guarantees or remedies for digital content or digital services that are faulty, not as described, or not supplied as agreed. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any mandatory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vineflow is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties that the Service will meet every requirement, operate without interruption, or be free from all errors.

18. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for intent, gross negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vineflow is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages, including loss of profit, loss of data, loss of goodwill, loss of business opportunity, or losses caused by unauthorised account access where you failed to keep your credentials secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vineflow's total liability arising from or relating to paid access is limited to the amount you paid to Vineflow for the affected Digital Product during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

19. Indemnity

If you use Vineflow as a Business User, or if you misuse the Service outside normal consumer use, you agree to indemnify Vineflow against claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and reasonable legal costs arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

20. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms, shared paid access, infringed intellectual property rights, attempted to bypass technical protection measures, created security risk, or used Vineflow unlawfully.

Where reasonable, we will consider the nature of the breach and may give you an opportunity to correct it. Serious misuse may lead to immediate suspension or termination without refund, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes materially affect your rights or paid access, we will take reasonable steps to inform you, such as by updating this page, showing a notice in the Service, or sending an email where appropriate.

Changes apply from the date stated in the updated Terms, unless a later date is specified. The previous version governs your use before the effective date of the updated Terms.

Continued use of Vineflow after updated Terms take effect means that you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to material changes, you should stop using the Service and contact us if the change affects paid access that is still active.

You may request a copy of a previous version of these Terms by contacting us.

22. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Swiss law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts at the registered seat of Vineflow GmbH in Switzerland have jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms.

If you are a Consumer, this choice of law and jurisdiction does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections, mandatory remedies, or mandatory courts available under the law of your country of residence.

23. General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.

These Terms, together with any policies or product-specific terms that are expressly incorporated, form the entire agreement between you and Vineflow for use of the Service and replace prior discussions or statements about the same subject, unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

You may not transfer your account or rights under these Terms without our written permission. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations where this is connected with a business transfer, restructuring, or service operation, provided that your mandatory rights remain protected.

24. Accessibility

We want Vineflow to be usable and clear. If you encounter an accessibility issue or cannot access part of the Service, please contact us with a short description of the problem so we can review it.

25. Contact

For questions about these Terms, your account, refunds, or legal notices, contact Vineflow at vineflow25@gmail.com.
